HourlyPal Terms of Service

1. What HourlyPal Is

HourlyPal is a marketplace that connects people seeking hourly personal services, called Clients, with independent providers, called Pals. HourlyPal is a platform only: Pals are independent individuals, not employees, agents, or contractors of HourlyPal. We do not supervise, direct, or control the services Pals provide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@hourlypal.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions

• HourlyPal membership is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• New members may receive an introductory free period, for example, 2 months free. After the introductory period, the subscription renews automatically at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.

5. Bookings and Payments Between Users

Rates listed on Pal profiles are set by the Pals themselves. Any payment for services rendered is an arrangement between the Client and the Pal. HourlyPal does not process service payments between users and is not a party to those transactions.

6. Community Rules and Content

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
• Use the Service to solicit or provide unlawful services.
• Harass, exploit, or endanger other users.
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's security or access another user's data.

Objectionable content and abusive users are not tolerated. The app provides tools to report content or users and to block users. We review reports and act on violations promptly, typically within 24 hours, including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts.

7. Safety

Exercise the same caution you would meeting anyone new. HourlyPal profile badges, such as "verified," reflect checks we may perform but are not a guarantee of any person's identity, background, or conduct. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users.

8. Content License

You retain ownership of content you post, including photos, bios, messages, and reviews. You grant HourlyPal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HourlyPal disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for the acts or omissions of any user, or for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HourlyPal's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to HourlyPal in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post updates here with a new "Last updated" date; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
