How HourlyPal handles privacy and data.

Information we collect

• Account information such as name, alias, email address, phone number, profile photo, service details, and account settings.
• Profile and marketplace information such as services offered, rates, availability, ratings, reviews, approximate location, and booking history.
• Verification and safety information used to support background checks, fraud prevention, trust, safety, and policy enforcement.
• Messages and support communications, including private alias messages sent through HourlyPal.
• Device, log, diagnostic, and usage information such as app events, device type, IP address, crash data, and analytics.
• Payment and subscription status received from Apple, Google, or payment service providers. HourlyPal does not store full payment card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, show profiles, match Clients and Pals, support bookings, operate private messaging, process subscriptions, provide customer support, maintain safety, prevent fraud, improve the app, and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate HourlyPal, including hosting, analytics, customer support, payment, subscription, communications, verification, background check, fraud prevention, and safety vendors. These providers are expected to protect information and use it only for authorized purposes.

We may also share information when required by law, to protect users or the public, to enforce our Terms of Use, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, financing, or sale of assets.

Private messaging

HourlyPal uses alias messaging so users can communicate without immediately sharing personal contact details. Users should not share sensitive personal information in messages unless they choose to do so.

Location

HourlyPal may use location or approximate location to show nearby Pals, search results, distance, booking availability, and service areas. You can manage device location permissions through your device settings.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide HourlyPal, maintain account records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, support safety, and meet legal obligations. To request deletion, email privacy@hourlypal.com or visit Support & Help.

We may retain limited information when necessary for legal, tax, fraud prevention, dispute, security, or safety reasons.

Your choices

• Update account and profile details in the app.
• Manage notification and location permissions through your device settings.
• Cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help by emailing privacy@hourlypal.com.

Children

HourlyPal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the date above and provide notice as appropriate.
